I have a 2008 Mazda 6I -- L4 - 2.3L 2260cc - MFI GAS DOHC. I put in a cold air intake 5 years ago. It goes on and off with the car not being able to idle. It will stall out at stop signs and red lights. I do not have the original air intake assembly to put back on it. The stalling out is super annoying and I need to fix it. It's $90 to take it to the dealership just to look at it. I was thinking about replacing the mass air flow sensor to see if that corrects it. The check engine light is not on. Anyone seen this before or have any ideas?

This sounds crazy but the first thing I did was check my cabin air filter and it was pitch black in dirt, leaves, probably bugs. After doing that, it's been 3 days and it has not done the stalling out at all yet. My plan is this weekend to clean the MAF. I'll let you know how it goes. If anyone has any other advice or has seen this before please let me know.
