Hey guys....

I just bought an 04 mazda 6 a short while ago and I don't know if the previous owner never cleaned the wheels but all of them have this orange 'haze' stain on them as if the brake dust was NEVER cleaned off. So I scrubbed them really well and not only did the stain not come off but the wheels look worse now....it's like there's white streaks all over them.

By searching I've seen all kinds of cleaner recommendations and even suggestions to use the mr. clean erasers.....just wondering if anyone else had this problem and what's the best way to clean them up?

You're likely screwed. However, the wheels are clear-coated so trying a fine-cut cleaner just like you would the body (paint) may do the trick. It certainly can not make it worse.

Just don't use rubbing compound.... There's a new thread around here somewhere about someone who tried that.
