Well lets begin with the SB and to let everyone know that I do not know which model I have, but I assume it's the manual one and not the atx version.

Installation was a snap. 5mins after taking the air tube apart under the drivers side gas pedal area. Unplug the harness, insert the SB on and then put the harness+SB into the pedal assembly. Make sure all the connections are seated tightly and then reconnect the air tube.

Then drive! :drive:
I have read all the threads on the Sprint Booster and all of them are in the Speed forums. There are a couple of other ATX/3.0V6 guys that have TBC's installed nowdays, but no real reviews and they do not have the SB due to the fact of the price compared to the other TBC's that run from 140-160 bux.

Well, it's been a week. I have to admit, I still have a little getting used to when feathering the gas with the SB, even on an ATX. I sent a note to the SB guys to ask what major difference between the 'auto' and 'manual' was. They got back to me and was told that the main difference was that the auto version is 'tamer' than the manual, which makes sense.

Bottom line, I am liking the quick throttle response and because of my setup on my V6 auto:

  • K&N SRI with an APEXi filter.
  • Optimized TB by twowheelin.
  • Steeda TB Spacer.
  • CPE wishbone lower transmission mount.
  • CLEANED both the MAF and TB like two months ago.
  • Also have the Magnaflows installed as well, but I do not really think that has any bearing on the SB. LOL
Now all the above with the sprint booster installed=Freaking touchy I mean TOUCHY gas/throttle!! LOL

Besides the surge when I punch it, its pretty good IMO. It's not worth 300 retail, but being its plug and play and the booster doesn't need to be mounted anywhere like the blitz controller and the other one out right now that is about 140/160. BUT there are 3 different modes rather than just BOOST lol.

It's late and tired. I promised a review and please let me know if anyone has any other questions.

Better off getting the ETC Throttle Controller. Cheaper ($150's), and something like 12 or so points of adjustability...

The Mazda6 version looks and behaves exactly like this:

I would tend to agree. But if you can get it from a member for less than that and totally pnp, no mounting of any displays, then I am fine with that as well.
