Has anyone ever made some kind of shield for the back side of our door speakers to keep them dry from any water that might accumulate in the door?

Would this even be necessary?

When I opened up my door and took out the stock speaker, I noticed some water inside from when I opened my window (It's winter so snow and water were on the weather strip).

I just spent a lot of money on new 6x8s and I don't want them getting damaged lol

Thanks!

your window will hit the baffle. I used them on my 8" fronts, but had to modify them.

Yeah you have to modify the baffles like aviator said. I made some shields and they hit the window first time I opened them so I had to cut them down. If you use those foam baffles you need to cut the bottom open to help your speaker still sound good.

I just cut some old plastic drop cloth and put it over the top of the speakers.
