Hi everyone,

I am currently working on an engine swap to replace the cooked L3 in my 2005 GG2. However, the Motor I've bought is a Series One and I've had nothing but issues.
Currently, she's at the point where the original coils for the car are hooked up but I don't seem to be getting spark to get the motor turning over and yet it was when I pulled it from the 2004 Donor car I purchased (Before anyone freaks out, it was a Statutory Write-off)

Long story short, is there enough Piston clearance in a Series One motor to fit the Series 2Two Spark plugs? I know there is about 7mm difference but before I do anything else moronic I was hoping to have someone with a bit more knowledge tell me that it is safe to do so without potentially ruining another perfectly fine motor...
