I need to get new plugs really bad for my car and I have a Bosch wire set ordered, but I havent got plugs yet. My question is, I found some "performance" plugs that are 1 step colder, and some that are 1 step hotter, but they are a couple more dollars apiece for them, so is that 1 step either way going to make any difference, or would I be just as good with some NGK's?
Is anybody running the Bosch Iridium's with the 4 electrodes and are they worth it?

i personally don't think the bosch is worth it, nor do i recommend change the heat range unless you are doing something with the engine that requires it. just go with some NGK's and be done with it.

Sweet, that was what I figured, since the gain from the performance plugs would probably be nill, and at the cost, just wouldnt be worth it, thanks mr. tea

Ok, thanks for the helpful replys gent's. I bought my NGK's and my wireset is on order, so hopefully next week I can get my balance shaft delete done, plugs and wires, and do a transmission fluid change... sounds like a damn good time!

people have said bad things about the BSD? i can't imagine any enthusiast complaining about the small vibrations that come from it....the rear engine mount is much worse.

Well, I must say, I love it with the BSD done, the engine is just a lot "looser?" I have a couple examples for ya, there is a hill on the one of the highways near my house that the car always downshifts on (atx) I drove it with the cruise set at the same speed I always drive it, and no downshift. It only lost about 2 mph on the hill, rather than 5 and making the car downshift. Near my parents house there is a driveway that I always check my speed on from stop to the drive, I have done this with about every car I've ever owned,a dn I'm getting pretty good at it. Before, I could hit 59-60, now, I hit 64... no kidding, its great, vibrations were increased, but nothing uncomfortable about it, IMHO, its well worth $20 to do it...

Don't know if this helps but...

Did my yearly tune up and when I changed the plugs I dropped in a set of NGK G-power's
Drove it a little that night and noticed a small increase in acceleration.
The next day, it seems to "come to life" alot more in the acceleration department and the temp. gauge runs about half of what it used to under normal circumstances.
So, I got increased acceleration & a cooler running car

Yeah, confession would be a good word to... I was a very bad boy... but the new ones are in now and work great, only about 25000 more miles to go :D
