I am experiencing lots of spark knock during transmission shifts, and when the torque converter locks and unlocks. I am concerned as to why the knock sensors aren't taking care of this.

I searched for an existing topic on this matter, but didn't find any. I apologize if this is a duplicate of previous conversations.

Can anyone offer some solutions?

If you have an intake (esp. the Injen) that's the cause and the only way to fix that is to either remove it, get the CP-E box tuned for it, or use higher octane gas. If you don't have an intake, the knock sensor might be faulty or the MAF might need cleaning. Carbon buildup in the cylinders can also cause spark knock as well as clogged injectors, fuel filter or a failing fuel pump among other things.
