What a nice ending to a crappy story. I keep visiting here to see if anyone bought my car I traded in, but haven't found it here or for sale on autotrader. The dealership always makes money on these trade ins, and it's usually a lot. Never accept their first offer, they'll always bump it up. I'm sure you guys knew that though. :)
How're you liking your sexy new ride?

I'm enjoying mine! Just bought fuel pump internals, AP, tip, and rear diff mount. Gonna be a fun weekend installing these parts!

Got a really good deal on a PnP set. Couldn't find any direction on which to go with when I briefly searched on here. They come with a lifetime warranty, but what should I look out for?

PnP? Who's that? Didjya mean PTP?

If so, you should be wondering why you got such a good deal, and monitor your fuel pressure closely after install, and be prepared for John to say it was install error when you try to warranty them when your pressure drops after just a short time.

lol typo! I purchased them off a buddy of mine that I KNOW never installed them. He ended up selling his MS6 before he could install them. I paid $200 for them while they look like they're going for $300 everywhere else... Is this the case with everyone? Are there any happy PTP customers? If not i think i may be Ebaying these...

Some have had luck, some have had horrible failures. Myself, I just don't like the guy who runs it, John.

Wtf happened with John at hpfpupgrade.com - Mazdaspeed Forums

That's kind of a catch all thread over on MSF.

-edit to add: PTP, HPFPUpgrade & DFDD are all the same place, just different domains that he has used - he seems to develop a reputation & needs to start fresh again...

Wow, wtf. I can see why you wouldn't agree with his practices. I guess i should have done a more intense search on other forums. Oh well, i guess i'll ebay them. I'm not into taking risks with something this important. I truly appreciate the heads up. I just assumed they would be very similar products. I did look online and it looks like protegegarage still sells this kit, my question is why? I'm looking at the KMD or AutoTech kits now.

lol yeah me too! TIP came in today, still waiting on AP and hpfp internals. This may be a n00b question, but I've tried searching and havent found a straight answer. Is it safe to run a stage 2 ots map without a downpipe? I have at tp and cbe. Between dealing with emissions and the general labor end of it, I've been putting the downpipe off. I know it's one of the largest gains, but also is a huge pita. I'll end up doing it eventually, just not right now.

You can run stage 2 with intake/tip & a test pipe
You'll likely need to tweak the WGDC up some to hit targets, but you'll get to be good friends with that table anyway, so no sweat.

I ran that combo for a long time.
