i've done a search, but still couldn't find the Part #....

Story:

On the 12th of this month, i had my first CEL @ only 1600km (1000 miles),
got the dealership to check, and said that the CEL was caused
by the bad solenoid purge valve on the fuel evaporation system.....
so they said they will reset CEL, update ECU and order the solenoid since
they dont' have it in stock....so they gave me a reciept and let me drive off.

j/ yesterday i have the CEL again, so i had the dealership to check wat's goin' on,
and again the CEL was caused by the solenoid purge valve....then
they said they forgot to order the item and told me to re-visit them
next day (today) when the solenoid arrives. So once again, they
clear my CEL and let me drive off. No paper work was given to me this time.

So today, i called ahead and tellin' them if i bring my in car
can i have the part replaced. upon their records and documents, they claimed that they didn't
service nor see my car yesterday...i was like wtf? i told them, i was in yesterday, and you guys said
you forgot to order the solenoid 10 days ago, and now u said i didn't come in.

so they put me on hold....came back and told me they didn't recieve any solenoid purge valve
today, and said it's back order and it will take a while, becuz it's comin' from Japan....
so right now i'm even more upset.

my question is, now that they cleared my CEL, i cannot bring
it to another dealership to get it service, but can i still purchase the solenoid purge valve
from another dealership and get it install at my dealership and get reimbursed?

or

have another dealership send the part directly to my dealership? if so can someone
provide me the part #?


I'm gettin' my intake installed next week, if they see my intake, by any chance,
will they try to refuse to fix my CEL?

Thats pretty bad service. See if they have an affiliate that has it in stock. This is a common repair and they should stock it.

Heres the part # when mine was replaced.

L3k9-18-740 valve,sole

You shouldn't order it. If it was like mine, the CEL will come back again. Came on 3 times before they fixed it in Feb.

This should be a common part. No offense but you should have had a heads-up when they didn't give you any paper-work. Taking nothing from you though, another dealership should have the part in stock. See if you can get the part from another dealership and get it fixed.

thx for the advice, i can't get it fix @ another dealerships now,
since the CEL is clear.....but once the CEL pops up again,
i'll definity get it fix @ another dealership

But i j/ hope they are MOD friendly, as my intake will probably
be installed...and that they don't refuse to Fix my CEL

As long as the CAI is not causing the CEL to go on, they have no basis to discriminate. However, if you go to a dumb-ass dealership, they might make a scene about the CAI. Just argue your way through it, Mazda has it worded in their warrenty.

My dealership ordered the purge valve on Dec 9th (sat), called me Dec 18th (mon) to schedule a day to have it installed. I took it in today and was done within 30 minutes.
