I never stop working for you guys............

anyone here live near spring, TX that owns a V6 and wants to do a single turbo kit?

post up let me know. i have someone willing to build the kit for free if you get the parts needed for the build. but i need a car to give to him to make the kit.

Holla.

V6 owner doesnt need to be in Spring, TX, but if person is not living there must be willing to leave the car for the work to be done

DETAILS:

6 owner will pay for the turbo, intercooler, and etc. basically the hard parts. all parts will be at a discount. ALL fabrication and labor will be free.

warranty is also in effect. and he will probably make this a production kit.

tuning will be handled by me.

Car will be needed for 2-4weeks

Needs to be an MTX. an atx kit will probably be made later on.

There is some criteria that you/your car must meet in order to qualify:

1. Must be visually appealing - doesn't have to be show quality but no beaters

2. Must have supporting mods for the power produced, ie:
-Strong Clutch
-Suspension

3. Motor must past a full leak down and compression test, also must be clean, no hacked up wiring of any kind

4. Owner will be required to sign a confidentiality statement agreeing not to disclose the actual cost of the build

5. The car will be required to have an Overkill Performance sticker across the top of one of your windshields (your choice: front or rear and color)

I will still guarantee every part of this kit to the extent I've stated in the other threads as if this was a normal full cost build. We will sit down and have a full consultation to discuss what you want out of the setup and from there determine your cost and a reasonable timeline for the build. If you are interested and meet the criteria above, PM me or give me a call.

EDIT:

Vehicle currently needs to be an MTX

ok, some of his work.

he built the only turbo kits for the ISF's and said all the twin turbo ISF's linked here

YouTube - twin turbo isf

he built

This car was supposed to be a Texas Mile car however the owner of the car never finished the rest of the chassis mods to run the car such as a driveshaft and suspension. The turbo setup came out nicely however.

if you are serious about going turbo route, you should contact The_Great_NY (the OP of this thread) he's the one with the custom twin turbo setup on the powermod tuner. he is very knowledgeable and has GREATLY contributed to the 6 community. shoot him a PM. ;)

@thegreatNY ran the stock block with a good amount of boost for a long time. He said he could have gotten even more but was over on his oil change schedule and spun a bearing. He put a forged bottom end in after that. The 3.0 has a strong bottom end for a stock NA car. Your car can handle it unless you are planning a huge turbo and tons of boost.

Sigh. I'm so close to TX I would love to do it now that they are willing to do an ATX... Or were? Just don't have the $ for this since we don't know final numbers on parts cost.

Plus I would need to use the power mod cause I'm sure as hell SOL if the MVD plugs it in and even one sensor says "pending" or "not ready".
Hi I've been lookin to make my 06v6 a bit faster. But there isn't really that much for tuning especially. Do you think you would be able to do a low boost super charger? And could you tune it? I live in the Houston area. Also do you know of any like handheld tuners avalable for our car yet?
Would the Duratec turbo kit be applicable to our cars?
Would the Duratec turbo kit be applicable to our cars?

there is no turbo kit available for the V6 mazda 6. anything to date has been custom
I have a 2004 6 v6 3.0l and would like to turbo charge it could someone please provied me a list of recomened parts? $5000 is my max.
If you plan on leaving the bottom end stock here are some things you'll need:
  • Standalone (ECU)
  • HPFP
  • Injectors
  • Clutch
  • Turbo (Obviously :])
  • Custom manifold
  • Gauges (Wideband, Boost/Vac, Oil Pres)
  • Intercooler
  • Oil cooler

Labor will be the biggest chunk of the expense, if you're not doing it yourself or have a buddy to help you out.

Okay, and dose it matter If its the 5 speed automatic?

I'm not sure at what point the ATX wouldn't be able to handle the power.
Another good thing to know is how much power can the stock block handle safely. Comparing it to the 2.3 I boosted (which may be a bad comparison) I would figure about 300whp before things started to fail.

There currently isn't a kit offered for the 1st gen V6. Everything would need to be fabricated.
I have a 2007 v6 5spd. What are the best performance mods that I can do. I already have a CAI, cut out the resonator and replaced the mufflers. Are there any pulley replacements or tunes out there? I search but all the links I find are dead. I want more power !!!
Headers
Bigger throttle body and spacer.
Intake manifold spacer.
