I never stop working for you guys............

anyone here live near spring, TX that owns a V6 and wants to do a single turbo kit?

post up let me know. i have someone willing to build the kit for free if you get the parts needed for the build. but i need a car to give to him to make the kit.

Holla.

V6 owner doesnt need to be in Spring, TX, but if person is not living there must be willing to leave the car for the work to be done

DETAILS:

6 owner will pay for the turbo, intercooler, and etc. basically the hard parts. all parts will be at a discount. ALL fabrication and labor will be free.

warranty is also in effect. and he will probably make this a production kit.

tuning will be handled by me.

Car will be needed for 2-4weeks

Needs to be an MTX. an atx kit will probably be made later on.

There is some criteria that you/your car must meet in order to qualify:

1. Must be visually appealing - doesn't have to be show quality but no beaters

2. Must have supporting mods for the power produced, ie:
-Strong Clutch
-Suspension

3. Motor must past a full leak down and compression test, also must be clean, no hacked up wiring of any kind

4. Owner will be required to sign a confidentiality statement agreeing not to disclose the actual cost of the build

5. The car will be required to have an Overkill Performance sticker across the top of one of your windshields (your choice: front or rear and color)

I will still guarantee every part of this kit to the extent I've stated in the other threads as if this was a normal full cost build. We will sit down and have a full consultation to discuss what you want out of the setup and from there determine your cost and a reasonable timeline for the build. If you are interested and meet the criteria above, PM me or give me a call.

EDIT:

Vehicle currently needs to be an MTX

ok, some of his work.

he built the only turbo kits for the ISF's and said all the twin turbo ISF's linked here

YouTube - twin turbo isf

he built

estimate would be hard to give depending on part used, but look at 2k-3k for all the parts. could be less, but again its all dependant on the route the donor and the guy doing it decides on for parts.

but 2k-3k is a good estimate as all the labor will be free of charge
That's not bad.

I believe there is a turbo kit or supercharger kit available from nautilus performance. You will need to contact TGNY for tuning though.

Too bad you arent in Ontario still. How you liking PEI so far?

It is a supercharger kit from nautilus that is BADASS. But if you already have the MSDS headers you are already on your way there, all you need to do is fabricate up a custom y pipe from each header collector, and run them to join together to meet near the battery tray, and place the turbo where the battery is. Then just re route the battery to the trunk, and make a custom down pipe from the turbo, to connect it back to the existing exhaust that is remaining. From there it is simple, you just need to run a few custom bent pipes with some couplers to the intercooler, and then back up to the throttle body (the 3.7l is already a good upgrade in that area).

After that, it is just small little tid bits, like running the oil lines, bov/bpv, injectors, vacuum lines, and a couple other things. Then tuning is your last step, there is a $700 piggyback tuner available from user TheGreatNY that has already been mentioned, and he can also help you tune the car very easily, the man is a guru lol.

If you really wanted a turbo Mazda 6, you could easily fabricate it up with a little custom work. The main work is involved in fabricating a custom Y pipe to the turbo, and a custom down pipe from the turbo...the rest is fairly easy once that work is done. A good shop can do this for about a grand ($1000), give or take. After that, the hardest part is done.

Haha I found another Canadian lolz....dude I just got back from the east coast and its so funny every body was starring like they've never seen a modified car before that wasn't stuff from crappy. I'm talking googly eyes everywhere I went lol....I didn't see one descent modes car the time....nice trucks though lol...
Anyways good luck with the build man and welcome to club
Turbo, Supercharger

So, has this Turbo or a Supercharger been built,
and done on a car yet???

I've wanted a set up on my 2004 Mazda 6 for years.

This is the year for me..... so anyone with info on a shop that can do it, and has experience with the 6 3 litre engine,
Or, knows of the kit

Please let me know!
I'm good to go.

Justin (TGNY) built a custom turbo setup and is using a Powermod piggyback ECU for tuning. Nautilus Performance developed a supercharger for the Ford Fusion but nobody bought one for their 6 (probably because the lack of a hood).

AFAIK, there isn't anyone selling any supercharger or turbo kit for the 3L 6.

im looking at making a custom rear mounted turbo i have been doing some research and i think it can be done pretty easily i was only planning on running 5psi ish that way i wouldn't HAVE to do a lot of other modifications my mazda 6 v6 is my daily driver and im just wanting a little bit more out of her for as little as possible. i love turbos and im pretty set on making it work when i can find the time to actually sit down and build it possibly this summer.
I havent been on 6club in a while but after reading this thread I just gain a little confidence in trying to get a custom turbo setup. If I didnt need to replace my tranny and motor which still runs pretty good, I would be getting a setup made withing the month. I already have the msds headers, powermod tuner and 3.7 tb so it doesnt seem impossible for me anymore.
Whats the estimated cost? and do you know anyone in canada who would do it?
Seriously considering putting a turbo in but i want some feedback from people who have done it. Is the car still running well after a lot of miles? Any major problems after the turbo is installed? im not worried about the cost of the turbo just the aftermath lol. Someone told me it was a horrible idea because the 6 cant handle that much compression. my car has about 50,000km any feedback is greatly appreciated
