Guys..does anyone know the Mazda part # for this shift knob?

It's for a Series II RX-8 6MT. It has the right 6MT shift pattern on top. For what I know..this is somewhat ultra-rare to find. Thanks in advance.

Thanks, Jerry. I did a part search on my online Mazda parts supplier..it gave me several results, though all says "5 speed".

Anyways, I went ahead for the aluminum/leather N125-V8-170F for $95 shipped. I like the "lever" type of this knob and it seems to look fatter and substantial/"weighted" looking, over the stock 6MT knob. It would also blend well with the aluminum/black round top Commander knob, as well as the black leatherette interior.

The black Buddy Club Type A catches my fancy. Delrin hybrid look and Made in Japan. Found a Black Limited Edition for only $44 shipped (BC08-TASK10125WB).

Nice Blingy gold shift knob...now that will surely stand out inside and middle of the interior. Like some mystical ball with mysterious powers. :D
But they're $130...

As much as I love ball knobs, especially the TWM's, that's a lot to ask for. Then again... maybe its not. Its so shiny!

Sweet, just need to source the parts then. I was poking around and found this:
MAZDA-3-5-6-RX8-4-5LEATHER-VIP-BLUE-LED-AUTOMATIC-SHIFT-SHIFTER
Not sure about blue LED - car is soul red with the black interior - but I kinda like the concept.
I am considering getting this item but I am worried about fitment. The OEM knob is M10 x 1.25 and this one says M8. I have never replaced a shifter knob before and am worried that if it doesnt fit, I might be SOL with the return. Their ebay "will it fit" calculator says its good though. Second opinions?

They have a white LED color too, this looks awesome actually to me but I would think you would need something to tie it in with the rest of the car rather than just having one LED strip inside...IDK. I wonder how heavy it is I already got the weighted leather option that several other own and it is great.

It won't fit. M10 means its a 10 millimeter diameter thread. M8 means its an 8 millimeter diameter thread. 1.25 is the thread pitch/width (1.25 millimeters per thread). both values have to match for it to fit if the new knob is threaded.

Have a 2012 Mazda 3 rental as my 6 is getting the recall work done on the tank.

Got to shift and what do I find??? Doesn't this knob look familiar?

I mean, why wouldnt they change the shift knob for their new flagship sedan??
