I'm looking at buying an 04 6s with a 5 speed manual. The car overall is great an runs awesome, but I noticed when driving it that the shifter has a clunky feeling to it and is also kind of sloppy in gear.

I'm guessing the sloppiness means it's in need of new shifter bushings, but could the clunkyness be related to that. It wasn't really a sound as much as just feeling like it's not as smooth as it should be. Didn't know if this was something normal with the manual shifter or if it's something I can use as a bargaining chip to reduce the price.

Thanks everyone!!

Well, guess it doesn't matter anymore. Deal with that car fell through due to carfax revealing it as a salvage title, glad I checked and didn't wait until I drove 4 hours to get it.
