only the dealer may disable the audible warning.

blah blah blah...first search on this...but all you'll find are a bunch of threads with people crying about other not being safe...having said that, these are the two ways to make it stop beeping:

Temporary Deavtivation

To temporarily deactivate the belt reminder:
1. Turn ignition switch to ON position
2. Fasten driver's seat belt for approx. 2 seconds
3. Unfasten driver's seat belt within 20 seconds
4. Start car and enjoy the silence

Permanent Deactivation

This can only be done by the dealer, it involves a computer update to the car. Dealers are NOT supposed to do this under warranty (even though mine did it for free), so you will be charged somewhere between $75 and $100.

Other than that you can try trimming some wires and such, but if it really bothers you, i would pay the $100 for the silence.

Can't you just cut the buckle off and put it in the hook?

Or it would look better to just buy a spare buckle for a wrecked car.
