Are there any good salvage yards where I can find parts for my 6 around Washington, preferably the Seattle area? I have no idea where to start...

I haven't done any salvaging myself, but here's a list of yards:

The largest one I know of in this area is Fitz in Woodinville - haven't been there since highschool.

Thanks! I actually saw that list earlier but there are too many salvage yards to sort through... So I decided to come here and ask for suggestions. Ill call up that place you suggested and see what they have.

Anything you're looking for in particular?

Just curious.

yep... a left front steering knuckle and ball bearings :p preferably with the control arms, hub and that axle thingy thats stuck into it on the other side of the knuckle of the hub (if not much more expensive) so I dont have to deal with so many ball joints and pressing things in.

Also, how do most junk yards operate? do the mechanics pull it off for you when you ask for it, or do they have it all already pulled apart and the parts stored somewhere, or do you pull it off yourself? I would rather pull it off myself because it would give me a better idea of how to put it onto my car.
