alright i'm about to buy a water/meth kit from a friend and want to buy a boost controler, but i am wondering how much boost is too much?? as of now my mazdaspeed 6 is stock so if anyone can let me know how much is too much psi to be at. im thinking about running about 20 once i get the parts but would like to get up to the mid 20's once i get a few more parts for it. do you guys think this is a reasonable amount of boost or am i just way out of my ball park??

How much is that extra bit of power worth? I hear a new engine is a bout $5K. It's an aluminum engine designed with a safety margine at 15.3 psi. So if something goes wrong the engine control it won't blow. It has a forged crank but the rods will no doubt let go when boosted to point you talk about. I have not read of anyone boosting much over 20. You need that safety margine

thanks for the advice, im just trying to gauge whats just too much, b4 i got the speed6 i was looking at evo's and the twin turbo audi s4 and knew i could turn the boost way up on those, and my friend with an srt-4 is about to put his boost at like 25 psi, i just didnt know what is too much for the speed6
