Hi Guys,

I've done some searches and wow, there are some nice rims you put on your MS6's :D

Now it's my turn :) I'm looking for some rims and don't want anything really expensive. I've only had the car for ~4 weeks and I really don't like the rims (nothing new to you guys). I can't believe how long it took me to clean the rims today; anyway...

I have a Black Cherry MS6 and was thinking of these rims:

What do you guys think? I've sent the company an email asking the weight. These are 18x7.5 w/ 45 offset... is the offset fine for this size? I've read some confusing posts.. I just don't want to roll in the fenders and plan on leaving the height the same. Also, I'll just be using the stock tires.

Thanks for your help/input :)

EDIT: Sorry for the 56ker's... I tried reducing the image size and it's not working :(

I have two sets of those rims. One for my summer tires and one for my snows. I'm very happy. They look great on my Velocity Red MS6, but, I went with silver.

You can also run 225/40/18 on these rims without rolling, rubbing, or lowering.

I think gold would be a pretty bold move on the Black Cherry...I would need to see it one someone elses before doing that myself. I'm also not a fan of wheels that have all the holes drilled for different bolt patterns...always seemed cheesy to me.

But wow...under 20 pounds! You should see some nice gains with that. And granted, they do look better than stock.

Paul,

Can you post a pic of your car with those rims?

I got wheels from the same manufacturer in the same size and offset and the quality is nice for a cheaper priced rim. The finish on the spokes is even and smooth, and the polished lip is perfect all the way around.

I'm running a 225-40 because my stock tires still have a lot of tread, so I am saving them on the stock rims. When I was considering the rim that you have pictured here, I was told that the weight was 19.5lbs...an improvement indeed.

i've yet to find a tire in 225/40/18 with a load rating of 93 or greater. i'm not willing to assume risk by using a tire not rated to carry the ms6's considerable weight.

that leaves 215/45/18 or 235/40/18.

Any other pics?? I would love to see some more, especially from the side, square on, so i can get idea of what the gap is like. Perhaps i can entice you with smiley porn? :boobs: :boobs: :boobs:

Also, at what pressure are you running the tires?

Sometimes the extra holes are to reduce weight perhaps not in this case but that might help it seem less cheesy.
I like them especially because they look simiilar to what I have.

I'm running 39 on the pressure.
The gap is close to stock.
I'll try to take more pictures.

Damn those are sweet. One o the few times I've seen 18" aftermarket wheels on a MS6 that I thought looked really good (the right size and all).

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the replies... I know the gold is a risk but I thought the color contrast would be appealing? Anyone with some photoshop skills to see what it may look like? Too bad discount tire doesn't have an imaging on the rims like tirerack does...
I used to have a Blue Subaru with gold wheels and I loved the look, not to mention the compliments...
