hi, i am new to this site.i have a 2006 spd6 with 90000 miles and i have a vibration or a bearing noise coming from the right front corner of the vehicle. one mechanic said it was a bad wheel bearing but to me, it feels more like something from the transfer case area! have any of you heard or experience problems with your transfer case in this manner? thanks so much.
ps/ i might sell it if somebody comes with the right price!

Can't answer any transfer case questions. You said from rt corner. Bearing usually gives a loud roaring noise, if real bad I suspect would lead to grinding noise as metal galls it's self. If it has been ignored for a while and now have vibration, better get it checked out real soon.

thanks for the reply. well, that is just the thing. i do not hear any grinding or roaring noises but a vibration from 20 mph on! also my wheel is tight and does not wobble!! it does increase when turning left but not right. i guess i really need to bring it to the mechanic as it is winter overhere in NYC, and i am not about to crawl under the car now(it is in the 20's right now!). thanks again.

i would say wheel bearing also. there can be many different signs of it being bad. don't always have to make noise.

At least you did check it best you could considering the weather.
Sorry, I thought when you said bearing noise with vibration we had different idea of what that sounds like. A torn CV boot leading to damaged CV joint could also be your problem. Tough time to have mechanical problems.
