Has anyone heard of any companies working on a reprogrammed ECU for the 6s? I would like to remove or increase the speed limiter and get some easy HP increases. Kill two birds with one stone.

Intake Timing Resistor for your vehicle.

All vehicles have an Electronic Control Unit (ECU) a computer chip that electronically manages and monitors your car's performance. That means that your car could go faster and get more power if you replace the ECU. This could cost Hundreds. This part will modify your stock ECU with a Timing Advance Resistor. Once the resistor is installed, the ECU will read that the air coming in through the intake is cold air. This is a quote from the "ad". Has anyone ever tried one of these chips??

Reading Topic: Reprogrammed ECU

It's not a chip, it's a resistor that you could by at Radio Shack. And all it does is modify the signal from the MAF to try to trick the ECU into thinking that colder air is coming in. ECU richens the fuel mixture (not what you need on a 6, it runs rich enough).
