Hey guys,
Im gonna be replacing my shocks/struts this week with some KYB GR-2's and was wondering if i need to replace my front strut mounts as well? They look fine but are they really fine?
Thanks!

This might be a dumb question, but what do the spring seats do and how do i know if they need to be replaced as well?

if you dont know if the prev owner replaced the mentioned equip i would buy it nd replace it, generally those are things that people over look. if when you are doing and job and the old ones look as good as the new ones then you make the call. if it were me id replace no matter what for my piece of mind.

a spring seat is a rubber cushion that the spring sits on in strut/spring set ups. iirc even in shock set ups you should have spring seats, it just restricts the detremental metal/metal contact at that point.
