theoretically the bulb should last the length, if not longer of the car....you should be able to buy the bulbs because only the conversion kits are becoming illegal, but an OEM install in a car is still allowed. therefore you would only need to buy the bulb (H1) from any dealer who sells a car with HID lighting. Make sense?

HIDs have no filament so there is nothing to break except the glass housing thus they last a lot longer than halogens. I'm giving mine about 4 years until it breaks then I'll have to sneak them past customs on my next vacation. :D

Actually, no one is sure what is going to happen on August 15th. I got mine now and their friggen awesome.

BTW LiteSwap is sold out on 4500K conversion kits so you will have to buy them elsewhere before the "ban".
