are there any tricks to doing this?  My car is brand new, I don't want to screw up the paint.  Any help is appreciated.  TIA

There have been quite a few threads on this, and i haven't tried it, but i do know the trick is to use heat, whether it be a hot day, or a blow dryer, and fishing line to get behind the emblem and door guards...just be careful....and take your time....prying with your fingers is fine, but don't use any sharp object that could scratch the paint. Any residue can be removed with goo gone and a good wash.

Ok, please search...not trying to be an ass, just getting to you before everyone else does.

I know I've personally explained how to do this quite a number of times in different threads. Just search for door guard removal and start reading...you'll find many ways to do it, pick the one you feel most comfortable with.

My biggest recommendation is this....do NOT pull them off...you risk bringing the clear coat right along with the guards if you pull them off.
