Sort of. You have two choices:
Bite the bullet, take the extra 15 minutes to find the wire and route it into the passenger compartment. Make that 5 minutes if you are an expert, or 30 if you've never done an alarm before.
Or, use the alternative programmed into many remote starts which is timed cranks or voltage sensors. Both ghetto, they *can* cause fail-to-starts and extra cranking after starts in situations such as cold cold winter mornings, marginal battery or battery nearing (but not reached) end of life, people staring/pointing, chuckling, etc.

seriously, you'll be fine. Grab a guide from the12volt and grab a bunch of yellow and red T-taps, a couple blue t-taps and go to work. Verify your taps with a multimeter and I have no doubt if you know the difference between +12V and REM (you mentioned youve done some installs) you'll find an independent RS cake.
