was wondering about those xenon lights - do you just buy the bulbs and put them in or do would i have to do a whole buncha wiring stuff?


( and yes, i am a huge noob with cars ;[ )

Hmm..... HID requires ballast and bulbs....

retro-HID requires ballast, bulbs, and HID projector

Wait, so the blue lights you see on a lot of cars these days - I would need to buy one of those kits to try and install the new bulbs?

thanks!

what about these "fake-hid" lights i'm hearing about - can i just stick those in?

You have 2 options when upgrading your headlight:

1. Change the bulb to make it look whiter/bluer, etc.
2. Install HID.

If you saw those Lexus, BMW that have blue light (from far) and then becomes white as they get close, that's a HID.

The only way to get the HID look is by installing a HID. If you just replace your bulb, people can still see that it's not a real HID. Yes, it might look whiter or bluer than other cars, but it's not HID.
