Looking at a 2004 I4 with 80k miles. Can someone generalize on the clutches for this model in terms of life? I realize there's a lot that impacts this -- how hard the car is driven, etc.

Just trying to figure out if under general driving conditions -- do they usually need to to get a clutch job in the 50-60k range or more like 100k?

Thx.

yea. its here and there with the 2.3's. some people werent even getting 25k miles out of them before needing new ones. im at like 63k, and have abused the crap out of the clutch since 05, and mine is still holding just fine and hasnt even shown a hint of slip yet.

easiest way to know is take it out for a test drive, and flog on it a bit. if the clutch is going, you should be able to get it to slip a little. lol

I'm one of those lol.
I tried to get my clutch replaced with the corrected version under warranty around then for the infamous clutch judder in the 20k mileage.... fail. Ive been easy on the clutch and it has lasted so far to 74k but the judder has been super annoying.
