I prefer the spoiler.

How about some comparison pics?

When I bought the car new in October '08, they shipped it without the spoiler so I got to drive (and photograph) it for a couple weeks naked, then the dealership got the spoiler, painted it, and installed it.
I've never taken it off the car myself but I might need to soon because the paint is peeling (just off the spoiler). I blame the dealerships local paint shop but they only guaranteed it for 3 years anyway.

3 year warranty or not, that's still quite a shitty paint job. Most bodyshops I know guarantee their work for the LIFE of the car, including paint.

I'd still take it in and bitch to them...

Just a heads up for everyone... If anyone is thinking about getting a spoiler, I just found out that a salvage yard in Green Bay, WI has a bunch of OEM pre-painted spoilers...

Alpha Automotive

Do a search for 2009-2012 Mazda 6 rear spoilers and they should come up.

I tried to copy-paste but it screws up all of the formatting...

I'll update this info since I have replaced my peeling spoiler. It was cheaper to replace it with a pre-painted from Ebay than to repaint the original.
There's a clip on either side. When the dealer installed mine, they drilled the holes for the clips all the way through the inner panel so I was able to shove a socket wrench over the clip to depress the tabs on either side. It's a pain in the ass.
If you remove your spoiler though, you'll be left with 6 ugly holes especially if whoever installed it used a dull screwdriver to make the holes. (Dealer didn't even paint up the cut edges, luckily no water got in there.)
