What is the difference between the headlights the 6 comes with stock, and projector headlights? If I ever upgrade to an HID kit, should projector be a word that I am thinking of?

The stock headlights ARE projector headlights

But they're halogen projectors and therefore not ideal for HIDs. Kits are generally a waste of money. Follow t_mo_t's advice and search this forum on how to do a retrofit.
