I live in Birmingham, Alabama and although they have some serious humidity, they also get bare winters. I am currently running a K&N "Typhoon" CAI that also can be shortened to a SRI with the removal of a rubber sleeve and a few screws. Anyway, my question is would it be better and more effective to run the CAI as a SRI or CAI for the winter and cold air?
Currently running the NGK Gpower plugs (which I installed just the other day) and the car is already running colder than normal as the temp gauge is showing at about a quarter when it used to run about halfway. Last but not least, I cannot for the life of me find the heat shield that came with my CAI so if it comes down to it, does anyone have one here (providing it is an overall recommendation I run it as a SRI for the winter. Thank you all
