My third brake light has never worked on the car since I've had it, but I was changing my headlight and thought I'd take a look at it. Its a 2004 with the LED light in the spoiler. I followed the wiring to the connector and noticed an unusual bend in it and thought that might be the problem. So I then cut it and rewired it with wire nuts, this however, did not solve the problem. I checked the light with a 9v and it lit up and all the LEDs work, but I can't figure out what to do with it.

Is there a fuse I'm missing somewhere? Can I just splice the line into one of the brake lights?

It was Mazda. Even with the harness it was wired wrong from the factory. First time I've had it working since I bought the car. Yay me.
