Hi,
I have a 2004 Mazda 6 and for the past 2 day my engine check light is on. When I took it to the dealer they said its due to open thermostat valve. Wondering, how much does it cost to replace it with a new one?
and what is the part number suitable for 2004 Mazda 6- 4 cylinder?

Pls. reply

Thanks
Joey

Not sure about the 4 cylinder, but like flip said the V6 is a piece of cake. If the 4 cylinder is like the V6, I would imagine a shop would still probably charge an hours worth of labor, which depending where you go could be close to $100. The thermostat itself is less than $10. Of course, I don't know your mileage but it may be a good idea to flush your coolant system while you're at it.
