In my last car I had a Pioneer active subwoofer (TS-WX50a) in the spare wheel.
I like to mount this subwoofer in my 6 sportswagon.
Has anyone experience in connecting the subwoofer. Is the car pre-cabeled?
It seems that taking out the radioconsole is not easy.

tips anyone?

There is a cable to it, but there also is a contact so you can remove the sub when changing tyre or doing somthing else there. Actually the standard sub has a carry-handle :D Wonder why ... :sarc Anyway it's shouldn't be so hard to change.

It's a quite thick cable, so I suppose it has some kinde of power cables in it as well (or it might just have a thick cover to hold better...).

Thats for the wagon, I guess it's the same in the hatch, but by some reason the sedan has a different mounting, but I can't se why wireing would differ.

I bought mine without Bose, so I have no sub. I'll check if there's a cable waiting for one!

There was cables in hatches without the subwoofer... But don't know more exact what and where, I just heard from others who were wondering what are the cables going to spare wheel for.

I've checked. There are cables coming out from the right part of the "back wall" (toward the rear bumper). They are just tied together and serves no purpose. In my car. (Yet...)
