Reading Topic: People in Malaysia

G'day,

I'm a Malaysian working in Melb, Aust. I have the Lux Sport 2.3lt. Cost about A$45k. I was told that Cycle and Carriage is trying to bring in the M6 to KL by Feb 04. I think it will be competing against the Honda Accord. It may be an import since it is only assembled in Japan. This means higher price due to import duty.

It certainly is a nice car to drive.

My frist driving experience of my Mazda 6 was WET! :p It rained heavily right after I collected my car :( . So far it rained everyday since I collected the car since last Thursday! It is fun to drive, zoom-zoom... :D

The most selling 2.0L car in Malaysia is Camry now.

No way. What about 2.0L Camry in there and 2.0L M6? [/b][/quote]

Yeah, Camry is assembled in Malaysia and Mazda 6 will be fully imported from Japan.

Actually, $170k is reasonable for a fully imported M6. I think the camry is using a 2.4lt engine in KL. In my opinion, I think the rear is sitting way too high and the end is a bit big.

Wonder if the 2.3lt version will have sunroof, body kit and 17" alloys or it will be the Luxury pack that we have in Aust.

There are 2.0L and 2.4L Camry in Malaysia. The 2.3L Mazda 6 at KLIMS has full bodykit, sunroof and 17" wheels.

Kekeke... We just celebrated his full moon last Sunday and given out full moon cake, red eggs and angkukuih! :p

BTW, viewed your gellary one more time just now and your skill has improved again! Very nice shooting angles and photos! How much did the full body kit cost you? Is it the Mazda's body kit? Your car looks even nicer and sporty now! :)

Thanks.I am still learing :)

The bodykit plus fog lights and exhaust tips, costs me 4000 dollars Australian, and yes,it is Mazda's standard items.would love to have those MPS verson's,but it will cost an arm and leg to import from japan to here.

Oh, you Singaporean can get those good looking Kenstyle dobykits with better prices than us I guess, due to this place : http://www.specr.com.sg which is right in your door step :)

Yes, they are not cheap here in Ausralia with any Mazda's accessories. The only way to get them cheaper is to negotiate when the car is being signed up,but I regretted I didn't do it in the 1st place but end up paying the full price :( Your price of 3kS is very good price indeed.

Yes I undertand the expense with new born baby and that will set you back a lot of your budget. And sorry I didn't get your last sentence.

I said I am a Malaysia and Spore PR, not a Sporean. :D

I didn't opt for the full boby kit, I got the spoiler and sport grill as free goodies.

oh I see.So PR is permanent resident I guess.I saw your location as Singapore so I guess you live there.right? As I thought, that shop is at Singapore,so for anyone in the area ,you will save heaps just on shipping I guess. And there are heaps of stuffs there that I really like, but due to the shipping problem and cost alone,I would never give it a second thought :(
