Hey guys,

My 2006 Mazda 6 passenger window isn't working at all from either the drivers side controls or its on control.

I have done some research and found ways to reset electric windows, but this only applies for windows that can operate somehow. Mine isn't operating at all! :(

Can someone please help me out here? Is there a way to check why this is happening to my passenger window?

Thanks

Does it make a sound? Can you hear the gear moving? Maybe the window is off track.
When I pull the control up on the passenger door, I can hear it kind of like the motor is working. But when I push down on the control, nothing. Not one sound at all..

I'm assuming you've tried the reset? Or did you just think it wouldn't work at all?

I'd try the reset, then maybe try disconnecting/reconnecting the battery and check fuses and try the reset again.

These cars are sketchy with their electronics.

If by the reset you mean putting the window down all the way then back up and holding for a few seconds, yes, I have tried that but the problem is the window doesn't want to move at all..

I might have to try disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it to see if that fixes it..

I really don't want to have to spend money on getting it repaired!

Hi,

Did you figure out the problem? Caz I have the same problem now. The window switch doesn't work from either the driver's side or the passenger's side. But I do hear hear the click when I try to operate it from the passenger's side. Please let me know how you fixed the issue. Thanks.

Check the window lock on the drivers side.

I did. It's unlocked. Based on my research, now I am wondering if the power window motor is broken because I can still see the light in the passenger side switch and can still hear the click when I pull it all the way up or down. Let me know what you think.

Having same issue. Thought motor was fried. Took it off, put a battery and cables to it, can c motor spining. Reverse cables, spins other direction. All windows work, except that one. Checked fuses. Good. Checked connections for corrosion. Nothing. Could the wiring have fried? Is their something else to check? Next, going to hook up motor to window again, and run a couple wires to a battery, c if window opens/closes.

I bought a new motor too. Will arrive tomorrow and I will replace the part and see if that's what is wrong. Please let me know how it goes for you.

Well, i have some good news, passenger side window is now opening and closing. But only from its own switch. The switch on the driver side wont open passenger window, tried using the programming trick with the windows, but nothing. Small victory i guess. It stopped working couple years ago, and i never bothered with it, since i just use car to go to and from work. Today i was bored, and decided to fidget with it. :):)

Forgot to mention, i didnt really do anything, except take the motor off, and run it independently from the window. Just used some wires to hook it up to a tools battery, and it worked, put everything back together, now window is working. I have no idea y.
