Hey im Rob, i just signed up today even though ive been browsing the site for about a month now since i got the car. I'm from Milwaukee, WI. I drive a 5 spd 2003 Mazda6 with a 3.0 v6 with about 100k miles on it. My check engine light came on the other day and i had the codes pulled. 2 different codes came up.

P0176 and P0303

I know 0303 is a misfire on cylinder 3, but the other one im not so sure about. It's one of those generic OBD-II codes that isn't manufacturer specific. which makes me wonder a little bit about it. Anyways when i looked it up i got this:

"the pcm has determined that a malfunction in the electrical circuit for the fuel composition sensor"

The car runs perfectly normal, no hesitation, no rough idle, no symptoms at all that i can notice. Im pretty sure both of the codes are being caused by the same problem(something air/fuel related) I was just wondering if anyone else has gotten this code or if anyone has a little more information for me about what could be wrong? Thanks!

also, i've been trying to do some research on this and everything i can find about a "fuel composition sensor" seems to relate to Ford and GM Flex Fuel vehicles (mostly small trucks, S10, Ranger etc) Do our cars even have this part?
