hi everybody! how are you?

i've decided want to change my stock globes, but i'm having a hard time deciding what to get. I'm located in Australia, so i'm only limited to several brands.

After some thorough research, i've limited myself down to several globes: Osram Silverstar, Philips VisionPlus, and some brand recommended to me called M-Tec, from japan.

i need some help with this decision, because i've been told that whatever light i place into the 6, it'll turn out yellow-ish due to the projector and the parking. Can somebody please verify that claim by posting some pictures of their aftermarket globes, preferably ones that are from the brands listed above?

I have the VisionPlus bulbs and I think they're great. I'll try to get some pics for you this weekend.
XrIeSvlis, I don't think the Sylvania SilverStars are out yet. I think Alex is talking about the Osram version. Even though its the same company the bulb is different than the version we get here. I got my bulbs at Powerbulbs. They carry the both Osrams and the Philips.

Osram Sylvania is one and the same company, within the US they use both Osram and Sylvania, outside the US its Osram. The Osram Silverstar is a clear bulb with Xenon gas boost to increase brightness up to 50% color is similar to standard halogen though it is slightly whiter. Sylvania Silverstar is currently available in 9003/H4, 9004, 9005, 9006, 9007 & sealed beam sizes, the Sylvania Silverstar is the Super White (blue/grey coated) version of the Osram Silverstar (clear) which is available in H1, H4, & H7.  Osram Silverstar color is slightly whiter (very slightly) than regular halogen.  We also have the Narva Range Power Blue bulbs are made in Germany and DOT compliant.  The Osram Silverstar is E code (ECE Reg 37) but not tested for DOT compliance (FMVSS 108) since the bulb is made for the European market, but most likely meets US DOT standards if tested.  All these bulbs are stock wattage so it will not have any effect on wiring.[/b]

hey, i visited my local auto shop today, and they are recommending me to use Philips Crystal Vision

any comments about those globes? I went out and had a peek at the sale' ones, and they were mighty white, however, i wasnt completely happy because they werent sharp and crisp, and did not have a BMW-like blue tint to the light.

ive got the piaa extreme white plus... i like them alot, but it looks really weird next to those gross stock parking lights.. also they ran me 80 bucks. pretty steep for a pair of H1's, but overall, im happy

This is prolly old news, but my local Meijer (a la Fred Meyer or Super Wal-Mart) now stocks Silverstars in the H1 and H3. I just picked up a pair of H3s for my fogs.

I had a set of Philips vision plus on my Peugeot 406, (Mazda 6 delivered mid Aug hopefully) and whilst they were very good, I found they didn't last very long.

I've got crystal vision (philips) and i think they are great they are very white and make reading street markings and signs quite easy on the eyes. They do have a slight blue tinge to them.
