I recently bought a new 2010 Mazda 6 iTouring: Black cherry metallic exterior and Black cloth interior (Grey-black dash and Grey car top).
The dealer will be installing Katzkin leather as part of the purchase (any color and any style option), and I have to tell him my leather choice.

The dealer is recommending the standard 'Dove grey' or Black leather. But I am not too excited with these choices, as they are the most commonly done...

I fancy the idea of having contrast stitching but *not* the two tone option.

How about, Pearl (white) leather with Grey stitching and Black faces?
or any other recommendations? (other than standard All Dove Grey or Black)

In your opinion, which color scheme do you think would look the best?

Can't imagine too many colors matching very well with Black Cherry, but that's just me....I'd want it to either match, or compliment.

I went to Katzkin.com, and they haven't updated their configurator to include a Mazda6, but I did manage to find this in their "limited' section. It doesn't even say what color they call this, but I'm sure someone at Katzkin could answer that question.

I think this would look awesome with a Black Cherry 6.

I installed Katzkin in my CR-V. It was approx 16 hours of labor (1 person) ad NOT something I would go through again myself. I did the job for $350 (clearance price)

In hindsight, if I were to ever add leather again, I'd go with Suede . . . it resolves the initial (but not NEARLY as bad as vinyl) ultra hot/ultra cold feeling when you get in and looks custom yet tasteful if you choose an appropriate color.

Avoid light colors; they dirty very easy . . . and show body prints over time (drivers will discolor before the other). Katzkin quality is decent. Don't over-estimate the resale value of stock-looking leather either.

BlackCherry06... Thanks for the color selection. It looks great in the picture... But I don't see it blending well with the Grey-black interior?

Ernie... I have seen few cars with Suede interiors and they all had spill marks. Leather seems to be only choice to avoid this problem.

Any other alternatives?

You have TOTALLY talked me out of suede. I did NOT see that coming :D

Seriously, been trying to talk my wife into a Flex Ecoboost and was liking the 'titanium' but there is NO way she and my son would keep it clean.

Guess I'll save suede for a 2-seater.

Honestly, the only 2-tone leather I ever liked was the Pontiac Red-on-black . . . do they have samples you can check?

The one I had wasn't taught like the OEM; it had a gathered panels instead. It looked a lot better than stock leather.
