So I plan on doing angel eyes soon and I've been reading up the DIY guide here, and the guide is very nice. After reading it for about the 16th time, I only have one question..

Where does the ground wire go?

It seems that the guide tells people to wire it to a screw on the chassis, but I have no idea what the chassis is. And if you could, could you provide a picture on where your ground wire for your angel eyes are connected to?

Edit: Should I get blue ones or white ones? :)

anything metal on a car, is a ground pretty much. chassis means like the frame pretty much. even though our cars dont really have an actual frame. but yea, ground it to a bolt in the engine bay pretty much

and please just do white. colored halo's look way to ricey. leave that to the stupid honda owners. we dont need people laughing at mazda's. lol

sure. this is where it is on the drivers side. you can see the ground where its bolts above the intake. its sitting under that white multiple OEM ground. but you can kinda see the red connector.

and on the passenger side, u can see the brown wire in this pic. it just goes to a 10mm bolt right outside of the picture. very basic.

+1 on the Anti Ricer look!
There are also a few ground terminals inside the headlight bezel, you're going to have it dismantled anyways, might keep the exposed wires to a minimum. However, a better ground point is a paintless area preferably where there is a screw in place already, as Monoxidechild mentioned...

You can splice into an existing ground if you wish, or you can just use a screw like me and Monoxide did. If you plan to wire the halos to the parking lights, it's easier to just use both the ground and power from the parking lights, so that you can keep all the wires concealed.

yea. my halo's are wired up using existing OEM wiring already in the headlights. the added ground that on the exterior is for my HID's. ive had HID's in all my cars the past few years, and know there potential failure rate. so i wanted to keep everything HID related at easy access in case i have to replace something. thats why i didnt tie it into the factory wiring like i did with the Halo's. :)
