What is the quantity of oil required to bring the oil level from the MIN to the MAX mark on the dipstick? I often seen 0.8 or 1 litre for example.

For the North American Mazda6 i4 (2.3L engine) there is no indication on the dipstick nor in the user manual in that regard. Anyone know the answer? I guest is also the same thing for the 3 liter engine.

LBJay, what is your source of information? or is it a guess from you?

Being a Japaness car, would it be 1 liter instead?

Sorry bad attempt at metric vs. US humor.

The normal markings would be whatever the minium you can normally purchase oil in. In the US that would be Quarts, in Canada Liters. Since 1 US Quart = .95 liters it doesn't really matter. They do it that way so people aren't throwing part bottles of oil in trash cans. If you think about it, this way it makes things easy.
