Hi.

I would like to know if I can add the Shock Sensor to my 2008 Mazda 6i? I got the part number from the Mazda site, just need to order the part, but it says it requires the convenience package.

Is that the remote start package?

Is it plug and play? Minor splicing?

thanks. I am mechanically inclined so dont dumb it down for me. Just a bit. but not too much.

It requires the convenience package because the package has an actual alarm system and not just keyless entry.

If u are unsure if ur car is equiped with an alarm, roll down youe windows, close the doors, hit lock on the remote. After 30 seconds, reach into the car, and manually unlock the door (not with the unlock button), and if the horn sounds or sounds when u open the door, than u have the OEM alarm installed in ur vehicle.

Wire tapping is required. It is not plug and play
