I have my eye on an 06 6i HB and have only contacted the dealer through email so far. He told me "He won't have the car much longer" so I should act fast. What a line of crap. The car has been sitting on his lot for at least 6mo and probably since last year!

Anyway, It'd be nice but I don't expect the rebates to go up in Oct.

lol cvette, reminds me of what one dealer that had a slightly used speed6 sport for 24,500 on his lot did. I walked out leaving him with the impression that I was going to my bank to try for financing.. A few days later he calls up asking if I been to my bank yet and drops a clever 'theres lots of interest in it right now' in there.. I couldn't help but think if theres so much interest in it, then sell it- after all, I made it a point that I wasn't leaving a deposit for it after they asked.

That depends on what you want. In the mazdausa.com inventory feature, I've not seen what I would be looking for in quite a while.

Broaden your features then, stop being picky

Hey....all of us have the right to be picky about the color, You are going to be driving this car for years, so pick the color you want cause once you do, You have to stick with it.... :yesnod:

Yeah...what he said :) . I'll drive the car for probably 12 years or more...why settle for something I don't want just to save $1000?

I mostly don't want a lot of "features" and most of the cars that are left have a lot of them. I'm happy with any color, as long as it's gray. Anyway, for myself, I pretty much decided a while ago that I'll get an '07, if I get one so I can get the new wingless sport trim.

I was just pointing out that waiting and waiting for higher rebates may not work out, if you care about what you will get.

Exactly!!! Instead of spending 18 k and getting the color/car you don't want because it was all they had left...left overs, I'd rather spend 19 k and get the car with the the right color and specs I want. Leftovers are not for everyone....

I understand about colors, but you are bitching about features....a car has to have every damn thing you want and can't miss something small like a sunroof FTW

LOL...bitching??? hardly, I wanted a sunroof on my car with bose, but I ended up getting one without it because it was still the color I wanted, so....Im not that picky, Its just better if you get all the features/colors in a car you want is all I am saying here, not like we are going to DIE if it isn't, take a chill pill dude, your taking this way too much. :sarc:

I've used this feature, but was only able to search within 150 miles of me, is there any way to broaden it?

I'm really interested in buying a 2006, either used or new, but haven't been able to find decent prices at all.
I just copy/pasted this below (and in another thread) hoping that someone has seen (or can help me find) a car like this

Want to Buy:
2006 Mazda 6 s (Sport) Hatchback w/ Bose Sound system in Blue (Black or Red as 2nd choice) as exterior color, preferably black cloth as interior color (do not want leather). Less than 15k miles.

Well one way to widen your seach is to put in zip codes from further away. What I did is put in the zip code of the furthest away dealers that showed up on initial search.

Another possibility...one time when I asked for a quote using that, I got an email a while later from Mazda asking if they could help me find a car. The email said:

I am with [email protected], here at Mazda’s corporate headquarters. The [email protected] team works hand-in-hand with dealerships to help find a Mazda that's right for you!

I see that you have requested pricing information on the MAZDA6 Sports Sedan, are you still interested in this vehicle?

If you would like, we can run a search to see what dealers have a vehicle that meets your needs. The dealerships do set their own pricing so you will want to contact the dealership directly after a vehicle is located.

I can help pave the way for you with the dealership and assist you with any questions you may have regarding any Mazda products! Please feel free to contact me. I can also be reached at (800) 639-1000.

Thanks Jeffy, I was able to get them to do a really detailed search of dealer inventory after contacting people with the info you gave me. They are surprisingly slow to respond to email, but still helpful in the end.

With the September $3500 rebate on the MS6 (both sport and GT), they've started moving. I've watched my local dealer since February. Before september, they had not sold a single MS6. I've tracked stock numbers. They sold a few in the last month. Inventory reduced from 17 to now 12. I also see that they've done some trading as their "ad" car is an early priced car (there was an increase someplace in the year). New sport for $23.9k ad in the papers. When they hit $21k, I'll probably go for it. I know they'll get there.
