I had my first oil change at 1500 miles. I wanted to do it at 1K, but I could not find the time. Anyway, I was low on time so I just went to Wallmart and had them put in stock oil (Motorcraft 5W20 I think). Anyway I remember reading here that the 2005 6S takes 6 Quarts and that older versions take 5.5 Quarts. I mentioned it to the Tech when he handed me a half full Quart of oil that he should of used all 6. He said his book said it needed only 5.5. I have the half quart of oil and am unsure if I shoul pour it in too.

Please let me know.

You don't have to be exact. Just wait until daytime and check your oil. As long as your dipstick is showing above the empty mark then you're OK.

FYI, I put 5 quarts for my 2003 car which requires 5.5 and it's showing full.
