Hey guys, Like the site here and can use some help.
Did a motor swap, stock for stock and have one grey plug i can't seem to find where it goes to.
Trying to get a pic but its on the driver front side. Theres a green clip that clips to the airbox, got that. Theres a grey plug that runs right next to that. Bout the same lenght and all but nothing is around there.
If oyu could check your car or any help would be great. I'll try and get a pic but it is directly under the front side of the airbox.
Need this going ASAP so any help would be awesome.

seems like it goes under the airbox somewhere, and under the engine mount thats under the airbox...

Also is the coolant temp switch on the black housing under the throttle body? Thats the only one i can see but it doesn't look like the replacement one I got.

What year is your car and what motor do you have? I can look but I don't know if they are the same.

05 3.0 v6, if you see the green plug that attaches to the air box follow it back 6 inches, theres a gray plug.

Ok I have an 03 6 2.3L and this is the closest grey plug that I could see. I have no idea how much they are similar. If you look at the bottom left corner of the battery and look straight down next to that corner to the top of the transmission there is a grey plug. Here are two pictures that I took. If that is not it than its either under the box or you have a plug that I don't have. Good Luck!

Could you tell if it was a 2 wire clip? And is there a wire that leads to the sensor? Thinking maybe your pics of the VSS but could be wrong.

I can't really tell for sure but I think it's only one wire. I looked more around there and I couldn't find one. If I wasn't 5 months preggo I would get under the car to see. I guessing either I don't have that plug because I have the 4cyl or it is either under the air filter box or under the fuse box. Sorry I couldn't help you out further. Good luck!

just a thought, do you have lower fogs? i know there is a plug down there on all models whether you have fogs or not. my 07 came w/out fogs and the plug was there and is functional in case you add fogs later...

Theres not one on the passenger side so don't think so. It is barely 8 inches long, doesn't even make it around the shock tower. i'll check for power/voltage and get back.

I can't be that, the wire for the side marker will be really thin, smaller than speaker wire. I has to be something larger.

OP: The engine you put in, was it the exact same as the original one? Can you start the car? If you can, use a volt meter to see if there is any power going to the wire.

Give me a few hours and ill go out and check under my hood. i have an 04 v6 so should be about the same. as long as the weather doesnt give me hell in the next couple hours, we can see if we can resolve this.
