Hi all,
I am newbie to this forum. I own a 03 Mazda 6s and had a question. I ve been hearing a creaking noise from the front of the car for a month or so now (low speed, in hotter weather mostly). Got it checked at the dealer and the recommendation was to replace the Right Lower Control Arm and Bushing for a cost of almost $900.
I checked this forum and found a few threads that detail the same issue i have been having; and all of them mention replacing the control arms. However the noise is not always resolved.
What I would like to know is - is this merely an inconvenient noise , or is it a safety issue? Would not replacing the control arm cause some suspension/steering/something else failure and potentially a crash?
thanks in advance for the help.
