does anyone know if i can get around paying close to 1000 dollars to replace the "4" catalytic converters? can I delete them? is there a way to flash the computer? someone... anyone ... plz help

No and no. Unless you buy used from a junk yard, and most of the time the cats are removed cause its illegal to sell them aftermarket. However, if youre close to the Cincinnati/NKY area...

The catalytic converters can be "deleted" if you do not need them for inspection.
Don't forget the converters were killed (not died) by improper ignition, (most likely) You will have to fix that first or the new converters will quickly follow a path of demise. Expect something closer to $1300 if you do the work yourself.

Remember, that is about 5 months of car payments if you buy a new car to replace it.
