Hey guys I put an after market head unit in my 6 and now the clock is gone. The screen just has a horizontal red line and says hello and goodbye. I realize i took out the old unit that was needed to set it, and was wondering if anyone has any ideas, or anything that anyone has done to make it look better. Everyone askes what it is and it looks bad.

My idea was to put a phone holster there since my phone is my navigation but have so far been unsuccesfull in finding one that connects there just right...

could it be maybe because you forgot to plug the clock back in..? Because I've heard of a similar case with a person's AMB temperature not reading simply because they did not plug it back in.

What year is your 6? I know if it's 03-08, then you did something wrong... Because mine and every other 6 I have done stereo work on works 100% fine after installing an aftermarket headunit.

I'm gonna agree with Albertngoo and say you forgot to plug it back in.

It is a 2009 and when i took the sterio out, the knobs used to set the clock came out too because its all conected. I couldn't imagine the clock being able to work in any way because its impossible to set it now

Your clock is gone - I've got an 2010 and the same thing happened. Actually mine only says "Goodbye" now. A post comes up every once in a while to see if there is a mod that could be done to make the display say other things, but so far no luck.

Just use the clock on the aftermarket stereo problem solved.

Drizzoh - where did you get the dash conversion from. Im going pull my stock 6 CD changer out as it does not work. Is that the Metra Kit?

thats the metra kit...streetunit,therpmstore,ebay and amazon sell it...i found that amazon was the best deal but theyre all around the same price.
