Happy New Year!

I'm new here but not new to Mazda. In 2006 I bought my wife a 2005 MPV LX. We both love the van. It feels like a sports car as much as a minivan can. It will be paid off in March and I am looking to replace my disposable car (93 Plymouth Sundance) with a Mazda6 at that time. Looking for a V6 automatic in any shape (sedan, hatch or wagon). Probably around a 2004-2006.

Is there any trouble spot I should be looking at while shopping for my new ride? I know about the PCV but I can't really check that.

Just be sure to have the car thoroughly checked and inspected by a trusted mechanic. Check out some of the threads on here about the V6 pre-cats.

LOL...trusted mechanic? I wish I could find one. I do most of the repairs myself and hate it when I need to bring it to someone else. I'll look into the pre-cats threads.
