Hi everyone, so i'm new to this site, and figured i'd join to listen to other's experiences with their Mazda 6, as well as share mine...so here's what i got soo far...

...Ok, i literally just financed my first car yesterday, and my choice was a 2004 Mazda 6. I always loved the look and specs of the Mazda 6, and yesterday was finally the day i was able to get my hands on my very own, lol. This car is beautiful...it has the 3.0 V6, 5spd manual tranny, black leather, and bose sound package in it...so after financing it, i drove it home and parked it last night where it stayed until this morning til i had to drive my fiance to work, after so, i decided to take it for a spin on the highway...this is where it gets interesting. When i got my car to reach 60-65mph, the check engine light comes on, and the engine starts knocking...went to autozone and had it diagnosed as a 1st cylinder misfire, the autozone worker said a simple tune-up would fix the problem. After that, on my way to get the car priced for a tune-up, the knocking gets louder...before i know it, the car stalls out on me (on the highway), and i managed to make it to the nearest off-ramp and park it. I called the dealer, and he was very sympathetic...he paid to get it towed to where he is paying to fix the problem, and is also paying for my rental car. So as of now, i am without my Mazda 6 (that i literally just bought) for at least a week...but i am not going to base my judgement of the car by this isolated incident, i mean, i didn't even really get to drive it much yet...so when i get the car back, hopefully everything will be up to par, and i can go back to enjoying it.

That was my story, hopefully no one else has shared the same experience i have...and for the record, before the engine crapped out on me, the car was very very fun to drive :)
