Took the speed6 in today for some warranty issues and a CEL. I complained about a stutter or hiccup sometimes in 3rd gear only while I am running through the gears. After the tech looked they told my there was an new flash that should correct the prob. here is the info i have on the new flash---file # SW-L38KEB000

DESCRIPTION
Some vehicles may experience MIL comes on with DTC P2407 in memory. This symptom is due to abnormal
current in the LDP sensor which exceeds the threshold of DTC P2407. The design specification does not meet
the market need, so the PCM software has been changed to resolve the concern.
Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.

I've been lucky so far. No CEL's or problems on my 3/06 build date MS6. Of course, I only have about 500 miles on it...

I don't really mind the flashes, even though I haven't had one done yet. It seems with a car that has such a sophisticated computer as the speed 6's, it going to be expected they will release flashes to address certain issues.

It will be nice when I get my Autoenginuity tool and I'll be able to check on things myself before heading to the stealership...

I don't see how that will help your hiccup. All the LDP does is maintain vacuum in the emissions system to detect any vacuum leaks for emissions. We do CEL problems all the time and they are evap leak detected or LDP failures etc and never have a customer say the car drives different. Mine has never accelerated smoothly since new and never has a CEL on. Feels like the throttle glitches or something drops out for a nano second a few times in every gear.

I had a "hiccup" yesterday. It was very very short, about as long as a "hiccup". Never had it before or since then. It was when I was getting on it in eithier 2nd or 3rd gear.

I had the problem ever since I picked up the 6, I just got use to it. It seems like every gear it "hiccups". Maybe things will change once we get some tuning

Drove the car for about 2 hours, car feels good. No stutter could be produced. Very smooth. :drive:

It seems that this is just a minor reflash. That's good news. It did get me thinking though. With all of these reflashes, perhaps Mazda could just add an OBDII WiFi wireless networking adapter? That way my car could automatically patch itself like my Windows PC does. :nana:

I took mine in on this past Friday to get the ECU reflashed. It was the first time I've gotten it flashed, and I bought it July 31. Personally, I love the reflash. Doesn't feel any slower, just a lot smoother.
