Hey all,

Have been lurking around for a week or so now soaking in all the great info on this forum. I am the proud new owner of a 2009 Mazda6i, 6 speed, silver. It is the Touring trim but loaded up with a few options I thought only came on the Grand Touring, the HID headlights, bluetooth, sirius.. I think I'm getting into standard touring stuff but BOSE w 6 disc mp3, leather interior, power drivers seat, blind spot monitoring.. All I can say is this car is BAD ASS! I love it! Upgraded from a 2002 Protege DX 5 speed. Pretty sure I got a kick ass deal too - 26K miles with the all the above options, KBB says retail 19,550, private party 17,550, trade-in 15,550, I got from a non-Mazda dealer for 14,650 before my trade

In the little spare time I've had, I've wired up my standalone XM (sirius worked for a few days and subscription ran out, going to miss the steering wheel control for switching stations, but I like the songsaver, tuneselect, and ability to see what's playing on other channels of the standalone players anyways..) and hardwired my radar detector.. Near term plans include getting tint (probably 35% all around or maybe 50% front/30% back half, the two legal limits now in Illinois) and putting 3000K HIDs in the fogs, maybe switching the headlights up to 5000K. You've all seen em so no pics right now, will post some when I get around to the tint.

Any suggestions for which tint scenario or anything else in general?

Well, here in AZ its HOT (shocking I know)....we go as dark as possible to help with heat rejection. I have limo (5%) on the front (even tho 35% is the legal limit on the two front sides), double limo on the back 7 windows so its like a coffin inside my wagon. Helps a lot with black leather seats! I'd go dark as possible, looks the best with dark glass. :)
