I'm ready to change my plugs. Bought some NGK ITR5F 13 for my '04 6i. Want to know if anyone "HAS ACTUALLY" put these in and has "GOTTEN" some miles, not a day or 2or 3. Had previously bought 2 different NGK's, (NKG V- Power, Iridium IX). Didn't install either, but checked at the dealer. I asked them which plugs they put in when doing their $165 tune-up, they told my the ITR5F 13 was the correct 1 for my model year. So I don't want to here about how great all the other plugs are. Just the one that I asked about PLS. And THX in advance.

you really won't see/feel much of a difference between any of the NGK's (or other iridiums)

They work fine in my car.. Ive had them in for a while now. Ive had them in so long now that I dont remember putting them in.. maybe I didnt and they came with the car? lol

I heard (but dont quote me) that the motor originally called for the ITR6F but they changed it later to the ITR5F.

hmm. for my 05, i have NGK TR55GP. got the # from mazda. then bought at them orielly's.

:banghead:Yep me too. Checked with the 2 local Mazda dealers. Both of them told me NGK ITR5F 13 is the correct plugs. I was told you can up in your car whatever you want, but 1 of the mechanics showed me the exact plugs he had just replaced in another 2004 just before I arrived there. Plus he said make sure that they were Iridium specifically. The TR55GP are platinum. I took them back. When you look up the 04 at the auto parts store it does state that OEM are Iridium. So I wanted to go back with originals that's all. Plus they were $9.99 @ O'Rielly's. $14 @ 1 dealer, and $15 @ the other. So that's why I asked about other members experience with the Iridium plug

Plus I'm not sure, but I think that the 05 requires a different plug than the 03 & 04's.
